A wise man once said: if we cannot be lost, we must be chained. A surreal garden. A parallel reality. Normality overlaid with absurdity.

An artificial scenography of oversized grasses unfolds across Charlottenborg’s courtyards, dissolving the historic symmetry, transforming the axis into a field of drifting paths.
Navigation becomes exploration — visitors weave through thick and thin clusters of grass, gathering naturally around bars, stages, and resting places.
Movement shifts from orientation to discovery.

The installation embraces absurdity blurring boundaries between architecture, art, and scenography. Built lightweight it respects the site and can be easily reused.

We explore the elasticity of our individual and collective realities. Perhaps reality is more malleable than we assume. Integrating the absurd is crucial — without it, we risk locking ourselves into fixed structures. Through this intervention, we invite movement and playful inhabitation as a way to rethink how public space and shared experience continuously can transform.
