                                          Text

The project transforms the courtyard through a simple gesture: the ground is lifted and reconfigured into a stepped landscape. Rather than introducing an object, the intervention reshapes the surface itself, turning a flat plane of movement into a three-dimensional terrain of occupation.

A central diagonal cut structures the space. Aligned with the natural flow across the courtyard, it opens the pyramid from corner to corner, allowing movement to pass through rather than around it. This diagonal becomes both circulation and orientation — a spatial axis that organises the surrounding programme while maintaining permeability.

On either side of this opening, the structure thickens into a continuous tribune. The steps form an inhabitable edge where visitors can sit, gather, observe performances, or simply pause. In doing so, the structure also extends the capacity of the surrounding bars, activa-ting informal seating areas that support and amplify the existing programme.

The geometry creates a gradient of use: from the ground, easily accessible and social, to higher levels that feel more distant and observational. The structure invites engagement, yet retains a slight sense of resistance, encouraging exploration without fully prescribing it.

As a whole, the pyramid establishes a new spatial hierarchy within the courtyard, introducing depth and direction. At the same time, it remains open and relational. The stepped surfaces extend toward the surrounding bars, stages and dance floors, allowing activities to spill into and onto the structure.

The project operates as an integrated landscape — a social and spatial framework that transforms the courtyard into a place of movement, encounter and collective experience.

After event - the pyramide fragments in 4 pieces out into Copenhagen.
